Sugar Sand Is the Hardest Sand to Anchor In
The Alabama Gulf Coast is famous for its sugar-white sand — pure quartz crystal, incredibly soft and incredibly deep. It's beautiful, and it's the single most difficult surface a beach umbrella anchor has to deal with.
